Gravity Falls Creator Inks Deal with FOX
Variety is reporting that Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch has signed a development deal with FOX to come up with a new animated series. This is on the back of the recent announcement that Gravity Falls is going out with one hell of a bang in 2016.
We’ve known for a while that Alex has been wanting to develop weirder shit for an older audience, but was completely taken aback by the fact that it would be with FOX. Turns out, other networks did go to Alex with dev deals, but he chose the one that features some of the biggest cartoon franchises of all time.
With Justin Roiland and now Hirsch with FOX deals, the major network could be prepping for a complete overhaul of Sunday Nights the likes that we have never seen. Stay tuned as we get more info. Oh yea, and who wants to bet that Bob’s Burgers’ Kristin Schaal will be in Hirsch’s new series? I’ve got $100 right here…
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
