FOX Reschedules Animation Domination Premieres As A Result Of Daytona 500 Rain Delay

Daytona 500 has been a thorn in the side of Animation Domination for decades. The sport of NASCAR is single-handedly responsible for helping series like Sit Down, Shut Up, The Cleveland Show, King of the Hill and others canceled thanks to constant overruns of the 730 pm ET time slot and, like this case, waste weeks worth of advertising on a brand-new lineup of originals only to have them torpedoed for something as shady as “checks notes” a rain delay.

Having said all that, we’ll have to wait for the February 21st start date for new and returning series like Bless the Harts, The Great North, Family Guy, The Simpsons, and Bob’s Burgers. Check back in next Sunday morning for the full rundown and, hopefully, NASCAR can keep their shit on FS1 so that we don’t have to deal with too many more of these delays. Moreover, this is a bad look for FOX who, lately, has been going crazy in ordering new original series and has trouble marketing well the series they have now. Dealing with nonsense like this would only potentially worsen overnight ratings in the future for any additional lineup changes.

FOX’s Animation Domination returns this Sunday @ 730 pm ET, check your local listings, and pray to the cartoon gods.

Update 2/15: FOX had a bunch of the premieres available on e-tailers and even Hulu, however, must have systematically taken them down here in the United States. In Canada, CityTV had all of the episodes on demand as well, but have since been removed with the exception of Bless the Harts which had been made available for about a month as a result of that series being the original series to get a new episode at the start of the year.
