Late last month, FOX had announced that they were developing an animated spin-off from The Flintstones entitled Bedrock which is being produced by Elizabeth Banks. Well, here we are not even a month later and something must have gone well because FOX has officially launched the website for the upcoming series with the note “Coming Soon” that you can see right here. Here’s the official synopsis from the show:
BEDROCK, a primetime animated adult comedy series continuing the story of everyone’s favorite modern Stone Age family, the Flintstones. BEDROCK catches up with the Flintstone family two decades after the original, with Fred on the brink of retirement and 20-something Pebbles embarking on her own career. As the Stone Age gives way to a shiny and enlightened new Bronze Age, the residents of Bedrock will find this evolution harder than a swing from Bamm-Bamm’s club.
Our Take
FOX’s Upfronts is ongoing at the juncture, so we’ll let you know if any additional series have been announced and when this one is officially green-lit. In any case, this series is a great complement to the network’s existing schedule which is already burgeoning. On Memorial Day, FOX is launching Animation Domination Continuation, a hopefully forever expansion of the network’s Animation Domination lineup.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
