Chances are, if a show is on this list that has been canceled, then it’s the network’s fault that it got canceled and shouldn’t be a reflection of the producers. It takes a team to win championships, and that applies to the entertainment business as well. These were the 10 Best NEW Animated Series of 2018. Earlier this year, the competing business plans of having an ad-supported streaming service versus one with a paywall really hit a groove but the winner is clearly paywall. We’ve got a few examples of how the ad-supported model is clearly not working whereas the paywall model is so as to let Youtube Premium understand that the pushing the breaks on “original scripted programming” in favor of ad-supported reality TV type deals may not be the best option moving forward. The producers of South Park love them some games, and over the course of near three decades of the Comedy Central favorite, Matt Stone and Trey Parker make sure to check in with the gaming culture ever so often, and have done so with great fan-fare having even produced a few episodes featuring game characters that would eventually win Emmys. It started with The Simpsons where, to this day, show creator Matt Groening has held FOX by it’s balls for the better part of 30 years. Then came Futurama, a series that, despite 30 million fans on Facebook, can’t find a home for new episodes aside from the shitty radio-play that came out last year from Nerdist. Now comes a new series, 20 episode (with the first ten premiering on August 17th) of a new series called Disenchantment and we’re breaking down what we know about the series into a primer so you are just as prepared as anyone else when it comes to what to expect.READ
