‘F’ will probably not be exclusive to ‘Family’ with new Bill Burr animated series

You kids out there that don’t know who Bill Burr is, I highly suggest you watch his special ‘Let It Go’ and then traverse into his Netflix exclusives, because they are all beyond brilliant in terms of stand-up. So when I heard that Netflix had picked up a new animated series starring Bill Burr called F is For Family, I thought a few things…and they all started with ‘FUCK’. In other words, ‘Fuck yes’ and ‘This is gonna be fucking awesome’.

Why you ask? Well the six episode series is being produced by Bill Burr and friend of the site’s Michael Price (The Simpsons) so you know it’s going to be hysterical. And yes, I’m fairly confident that Bill Burr is going to hit some sort of ‘Fuck’ record while developing the scripts. According to a press release sent out by Netflix:

F is for Family, created by Bill Burr and EmmyⓇ award-winner Michael Price (The Simpsons), follows the Murphy family in the 1970’s, a time when you could smack your kid, smoke inside and bring a gun to the airport. Burr will voice the role of Frank Murphy, the family’s extreme patriarch; Laura Dern will voice Frank’s wife Sue; and Justin Long voices the family’s oldest son, Kevin. The show is executive-produced by Burr, Vince Vaughn (“Art of Conflict,” “The Break Up,” “Couples Retreat”), EmmyⓇ award-nominee Peter Billingsley (“Dinner for Five,” “Couple’s Retreat”) and showrunner Michael Price. Michael Lagnese and Victoria Vaughn, from Wild West Television, are co-executive producers on the series.

That cast sounds incredible…I mean that’s not any ordinary Laura Dern, that’s Jurassic Park’s Laura Dern. And it’s good to hear Justin Long getting back into an animated series post Unsupervised. The series is set to launch in 2015 which should be a pretty busy animated year for Netflix as we are also expecting season two of BoJack Horseman which is currently in production.
