Expectedly the ”Ted” lawsuit gets tossed
Remember mid-last year when we told you guys that a shitty web-series was trying to sue Seth MacFarlane and the producers of Ted in the most laughable lawsuit ever? Well, according to Deadline, the Plaintiffs have decided to end their ridiculous suit against Universal Pictures and MRC Capital and have decided to high-tail it.
The name of the web series’ were Charlie The Abusive Teddy and Acting School Academy, and both were simply terrible to start with, however from a legal standpoint really had nothing to stand on anyway. Seth had the idea for Ted for about a decade before the film came to fruition and the attorneys reppin’ Seth had even noted that they didn’t plan on counter-suing so there’s that.
I’m sure the $15 attorneys that the web show producers were able to muster together earned their keep by simply looking at the plaintiffs and saying ‘No chance’.
Ted 2 comes out later this Summer, I’m looking forward to the two years after when more web shows trying to make names for themselves come out of the wood work to try and capitalize.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
