There’s just something so enjoyable about sitting back in the early months of the year and just watching the comedy network juggernauts reload and debut their newest creations. Sometimes the results are instantaneous, while others may take a little time to catch on. Some will lay the groundwork that will one day have them be spoken of in the same breath as South Park and Family Guy. Others will become nothing more than Greg The Bunny. The first seconds of these animated creations are similar to the first unwrapping of a birthday gift: the anticipation, the hype, the hope that it’s not just another horrible sweater. Best of all is when shows give you a sample. The “sneak preview” is nothing more than a “first one’s free” when it comes to these shows. Trip Tank came through in December with a sneak peek, which just now caused me to compare the shows Executive Producers, Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico, to drug dealers. I’m hooked so the titles work.
I had a chance to chat with Alex and Corey about Trip Tank, sketch comedy, and how Mother Nature seemed to bend over New Jersey like a deleted scene in Deliverance. Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
