English Dub Review: The Devil is a Part-Timer! “The Devil and the Hero Go to the Amusement Park as Advised”

Overview:

Maou, Emi, and Alas Ramus have an eventful day at the amusement park. Meanwhile, their three stalkers do their not-so-great best to blend in.

Our Take:

I kind of spoke on this in my Great Jahy review but man what a world we live in where the biggest worry of a former King of Devils is financial destitution. Not only that but angels are total dicks man, let that kid be. She’s happy with her family! Speaking of family, the little family date we got was really cute. The highlight had to be Emi being referred to as a Karen. Between that and Maou using the term “bougie” multiple times, this show is definitely ahead of the times.

So I mentioned shitty angels and the one that came in this time was none other than Gabriel. We will see how big a part he is of this season but I hope he is. Mainly because he’s voiced by Ian Sinclair and I LOVE Ian. In the last year, he has become one of my favorite VAs. I used to think of him as only able to voice silly characters but after watching Fruits Basket and Legend of the Galactic Heroes I learned he has some serious range. So please, more Gabriel!
