English Dub Review: Shinobi no Ittoki “Ittoki the Ninja”

Overview:

Though Ittoki has set out to settle things with Kidou alone, Tokisada and Kousetsu rush to join him. Kidou has sent his entire force to destroy Iga village. The final battle is about to begin.

Our Take:

Alright, this one managed to stick the landing pretty well. I would say the only reason I would like more of this series is that it started to get way more interesting near the end. But it ties up most loose ends so I don’t see that happening and I don’t think it was super popular either. We need to celebrate these original anime when they come around and are enjoyable.

The animation for this episode was the best we have seen in the series so far. TROYCA went all out in this one, especially during the fight with Ittoki and Kidou. It was dark and the contrasting lighting effects I think reflected their differing ideals well. The characters came full circle and I really liked how it ended I’ll get into it more with the season review but there is some room for other characters’ stories to continue. Shinobi no Ittoki was enjoyable throughout and there were only a couple of episodes that I would say I disliked.
