English Dub Review: Salaryman’s Club “Presentation”

Overview

The trial product for the green onion ginger ale has been completed, and it’s the day of the tasting and executive presentation. However, just before the tasting, there was a problem with the trial product, and it was pulled from the tasting. As Mikoto and his teammates and coworkers work together to fix the problem in time, an unexpected person appears before him…


Our Take

After the previous episode which involved a corporate badminton tournament, it’s back to sales at Sunlight Beverage, and everyone’s hinging on their newbie Mikoto for his presentation on the new green onion ginger ale flavor beverage to upper management after a marketed tasting session from close friends & family members to already released onto the public.

And being the inexperienced employee that Mikoto is, Tatsuru just can’t let that slide, so he offers him a total businessman-like makeover (plus a bear mascot suit for some reason) to get him ready for his presentation to the company and the public. Except things don’t go completely the way anyone imagined…

Overall, I find it weird yet compelling that this episode managed to do the impossible and make the salaryman proceedings more exciting than the badminton aspects this show is known for at this point. I’d honestly like to see the main cast and side characters get more development, but it was nice seeing all these co-workers have each other’s backs.
