English Dub Review: Sabikui Bisco “Bow and Arrow Duo”
Overview
Tetsujin is heading for Imihama, repeatedly attacking Milo in a fierce assault. Yet just as he’s about to be killed, Bisco revives from within Tetsujin. Together Bisco and Milo join forces in the final battle against Tetsujin!…
Our Take
This was quite a satisfying conclusion to this part of the story with Bisco and Milo. The giant Tetsujin still rampaging with Kurokawa attached to its head which makes all the Kaiju comparisons are even more on the money now. Also, Bisco’s explanation of how he came back from the dead makes a bit more sense although more info would be needed later especially the constraints of his new body. Reviving as a living mushroom god of sorts is pretty crazy, every arrow he fires now contains the rust eater mushroom.
A little convenient but I’ll let it slide for the most part. Because this final attack on the Tetsujin was badass. And with the two back together again, The two have become like brothers in their own right and can now trust one another to take that shot with the bow so to speak.
Overall, the 2nd half felt rushed plot-wise, but I’m glad that things could wrap up on sort of a positive note. I’m not fully disappointed in the ending, since I expected Bisco to still be alive because his death felt kinda rushed. This is one of those over-the-top crazy type anime stories that felt like a desert drug trip sometimes with its setting and creatures in combination with interesting and dynamic characters and some solid action sequences that I’m sure will help it stand on its own.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
