English Dub Review: My Hero Academia “Disaster Walker”

Overview:

Team Endeavor is up against Shigaraki while Gigantomachia breaks through the heroes surrounding Gunga Villa and is headed toward Team Edge Shot’s rear guard.

Our Take:

I want to get some technical things out of the way. It seems the voice actor for Skeptic is no longer Benjamin Diskin. He didn’t feel right continuing to work because of Union issues and I can respect that. He is one of my favorites and I love getting to hear him but I appreciate he is doing what he feels is right. The new voice actor for Skeptic is Anthony Bowling and let’s make sure we give him some love for taking on the role.

I literally cried while watching this one because it shows how everyone is coming together to try and save the day. Endeavor leading the charge on the front is the most surprising and uplifting aspect of it. He was always such a stubborn guy who refused to ask for help but now he doesn’t care he just wants to get the job done. I think Endeavor’s growth is one of the best parts of My Hero Academia and I hope that continues.

More heroes are probably going to fall before this battle is over and I am going to cry a lot in the next few episodes I think. Seeing Deku and Bakugo want to return the kindness that their teacher Aizawa has shown them was as heartwarming as you can probably imagine. This anime once again proves it is still at the top of shonen.
