English Dub Review: Mix “He Reminds Me of Someone”
Overview (Spoilers Below)
After we get a fun afternoon of Souichirou and Haruka scouting the competition, we get a super quick game between Meisei and Sankou that ends with To getting a No-No and the win for his team thereby advancing in the tournament.
Our Take
I was NOT a fan of this week’s episode of Mix. In my opinion, we should’ve seen way more game action and way less talky-talk about nonsense that really had no bearing on the series. I mean, To pitched a no-hitter, and we didn’t even get to see who scored the runs that helped Meisei advance. I was also infinitely more interested in say Sankou’s manager getting flashbacks of earlier run-ins with Meisei rather than Otomi’s test score rankings.
From a production standpoint, the aforementioned baseball sequences were excellent, but so few, which again didn’t make any sense for me. Isn’t this a SPORTS anime?
