Legal Loli is Best Loli!

OVERVIEW (SPOILERS BELOW)

 

Like the Alpha Male that the MC is, he quickly gets the permission support of Vampire Loli and Shrine Loli to mess Tsundere Loli up who…is getting marry? Okay, kind of out the blue on this one, but let’s roll with it. The “Mess Me Up” Plan, by Tsundere Loli, is basically having the MC crash her wedding and ruin her (reputation), so her stuck up father stop meddling with her affairs, which they did, with gusto and compliance with everybody in the circus bar the oblivious father.

With the Onichan’s blessing, Tsundere Loli and MC get into a boat inbound to the mainland in search of the Lost Mother. They found her. Her tombstone, that is. Lost Mother had an adventure on her own, as they discovered, and fans are included. Pervert Groupie Momoka talked in deep in regards of the Progenitor´s reasons, explaining that she didn’t leave her home and family after another man (which is bad), but to become a man?! (Arguably worst). Or to use a manly penname to become famous in the misogynous world of the 90s.

But hey, at least she always remembered her family so everything is alright, right? RIGHT?!

OUR TAKE

So, a lot of things happened here, even more than in the last three episodes combined. And I am not precisely talking about Wedding Crashers 4. For one, thanks to the constant cameos to the calendars on the walls, we know that it is 1998, two years prior 2YK. Another thing that we learned is that Karen’s mom became a marine science researcher in order to find something secret languages. Subtle, you are not.

On another note, is kind of nice, if useless, to see things like train tickets which are not used anymore in Japan, and have been for years as of now. Nice detail in trying to set the proper timeframe. A shame is buried in a mountain of idiocy and bad drama/plot development. And yes, I am salty because, despite understanding her reasons to reach her dreams and become a professional, Karen’s mom messed up when she dropped everything, including all forms of communication, in pursuit of her goals. You could have called once or twice woman! And while I suspect that her real reason was to get away from a stupid old-fashioned coot, who has all the flags of being emotionally abusive, she at least could have taken her kids with her or keep in touch frequently.
