Our Take

The fact that this show was able to finish after constant COVID delays is an honest-to-goodness miracle. I wanted to like this show, I really did, but it had serious character flaws and the delays which often disrupted the flow of the narrative. Some of the show’s ideas were pretty interesting and ambitious, but they didn’t get the development they deserved. Ray himself may be one the least interesting protagonists I’ve ever seen. Being the standard boy scout, while the other protagonists seem to overshadow him in different ways and yet the story really didn’t take Ray anywhere as a character. Nemesis unfortunately suffered the same fate by having her character revolve around his practically nonexistent one.

There was Franklin and Hugo. What was their primary motivation as villains? The twist itself about the two was incredibly random. Sure, I just felt so lost trying to understand their purpose to feel anything for them. admittedly, Marie was slightly more interesting along with the two Superiors. They should have gotten more screentime but didn’t.
