English Dub Review: Beast Tamer “A Home for All”
Overview
The town is rebuilding in the wake of the demon’s attack, which means there’s just one more thing for Rein to do…
Our Take
The guild’s matter with Rein getting an extra promotion in rank for all the work he’s done in Horizon, and a treat to match with the reward. But concerning Nina, their usual home is becoming too small, and the guild receptionist Natalie provides them with some tips, like buying a house to act as their home base. as for the type of house, it’s the size of a mansion but with a caveat: the house is haunted and unwelcoming to adventurers. Other than the scaredy cat that is Kanade, giving the house a check is probable before their purchase.
Upon inspection of the haunted house, it’s rather tidy to make people feel welcome, then throw them off their feet. Kanade though initially hit hard, bounces back to harm at the spirit level, and forgets about trying to possess Rein, his beast taming skills have elevated in unexpected ways. This is juxtaposed to Arios and his Asshole Hero Party having the gall to show themselves up in Horizon, and almost immediately they were called out for their non-actions, I guess this is as much karma as we’ll for being jerks through and through…
Overall, this episode felt more like an OVA, but a really good finale nonetheless. Got everything I wanted to see. Happy and I couldn’t help but laugh at Arios’ party getting rejected by the townspeople. The dude is too stupid to realize he’s the reason everyone dislikes him, not Rein. The hero system in that world must have been broken to choose him. This series was mostly worth just for the characters alone. And they were all fun and memorable in different ways, plus the comedy was just like my taste. The finale had this relaxed feeling after the tension from the last episodes, and while there’s no word of a Season 2 at the time of this review, I wouldn’t mind seeing one in the future.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
