English Dub Review: ACTORS -Songs Connection “Decisivo”

Due to someone pulling the strings, Tenshou Academy now has direct jurisdiction from the government, causing a school-wide ban on students from singing & dancing. In addition, the Roswell-looking white people and talking cats are nowhere to be seen in the city where users were restricted. Consequently, due to these circumstances, Mitsuki is convinced that the success of the contest is necessary to save the school. In a world that is gradually opening up with the cracking of passionate users, Hinata and Mitsuki begin to move together in an effort to better communicate their lives to people in the outside world.

Our Take

This still remains a weird story in terms of plot but I think things just got worse, with this ban affecting every single student in that government embodiment of this particular school, Also, what kind of school puts a Ban on singing? It’d expect this level of irrational absurdity from the Middle East, but Japan? They thrive on this shit!

Knowing that Harumoto and the primary IT specialist of a teacher (Usuki) are on their final throes to save Tensho Academy, the user-enabled cats and white Roswell people included, trapped within cyberspace. The only way to save them is an overall ovation of a singing contest, but with the government crackdown on the ban, it’s affecting others related to them, with Saku’s sister hit the hardest.

With one episode left of this weirdly confusing and effeminate show, and with such a complex but convoluted plot to insert and promote male-Idol music tied with a mobile game franchise that’s only known to Japan, They better have a proper ending after all this…
