Disney XD greenlights pilot featuring kid wanting to be next @SethMacFarlane

The name of the show is pretty silly, but I guess the premise is decent.

Kirby Puckett was a former MLB All-Star whom played for the Minnesota Twins. This dude had a life time average OVER .300 and had over 1,000 RBIs, 207 HRs, and 2300 hits during his career.

Enter a new live-action series that just got picked up for a pilot order from Disney XD called Kirby Buckets starring Jake Bertrand. According to Deadline.com

A 13-year-old who dreams of being the biggest animator in the world, enters a competition that allows him to meet his idol Mac MacCallister (think Seth MacFarlane or Matt Groening) and potentially get one of his own animated characters on Mac’s hit show. But he and his two best buddies run into a series of comical disasters on their way (including a clown ghetto and a low-speed lawn mower chase), threatening Kirby’s chances.

The series is being executive produced by Beavis and Butthead alum Kris Brown, so if we are lucky this kid will try and pitch bringing back Beavis and Butthead.
