Day Two REAX to Brian Griffin Death on ‘Family Guy’
Wow, yesterday was NUTS for Family Guy fans. When was the last time you saw FOX’s animated series get trended more than a Boardwalk Empire or whatever it is AMC is doing? Say what you want about Brian’s death on Family Guy, the writers were planning this for a year and no matter what the outcome they have everyone in the world talking. As a matter of fact, don’t even talk to Gonzo Green right now because he’s still pretty pissed off. So much so that he decided to take part in a petition (which I am sure is one of many) on Change.org to bring back Brian back as a permanent cast-member.
Unfortunately for those who signed it, the recently re-upped Family Guy EP Steve Callaghan did an interview with E! and from the sounds of it, Brian isn’t coming back anytime soon:
Brian and Stewie were extremely close and developed a very strong bond over these past 11 seasons. Will Vinny and Stewie continue to grow closer?
Vinny is a really good match for Stewie. Where Brian was sort of a match for Stewie intellectually, Vinny is a good match for Stewie because he doesn’t let Stewie get away with any crap. He’ll call Stewie out on his B.S. freely.
My question is with Cleveland and the rest of his family coming back, did we really NEED to bring in a new dog? I would think characters like Rallo would make for a perfect counterpart for Stewie similar to the way Peter is for Cleveland.
Finally, to maybe put this whole situation to bed, FOX put out a Tribute for Brian Griffin of which you can see below:

Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
