David Tennant Headed To gen:Lock
The Purple Man is locked in!
Rooster Teeth continues to add on the excellent talent to its upcoming mech series gen: Lock. Along with the likes of Michael B. Jordan, Dakota Fanning, Julius Chase, and Koichi Yamadera, it’s been officially announced that David Tennant (Jessica Jones/Final Space) will be added to the lineup to voice “Dr. Rufus Weller” who evidently is the inventor of all the mech tech going on in the world of gen:Lock by way of a unit called the Experimental Science Unit.
gen:LOCK is an upcoming American anime-style web series created, written and directed by Gray Haddock for Rooster Teeth. It is set on a dystopian future Earth in which cultural divisions are solved through fighting in giant, mecha robot armor and follows a diverse team of young pilots.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
