Crackle Might Be Sold Off
Well, alright.
A month after shuttering it’s Canadian arm, Sony Crackle is currently on the market for either a partial, or even, entire sale of the ad-supported streaming service. The ad-supported home of SuperMansion is said to be considering the sale so that they can be more competitive in the space of producing and keeping talent like Jerry Seinfeld who took his talents to Netflix last year as part of a huge deal.
Our Take
With Verizon recently shuttering their ad-supported online video company, and Sony acquiring an anime company that makes it completely useless to have anime on Crackle, the future of the ad-supported streaming company is a bit cloudy at the moment. Will this be the final year of SuperMansion?
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
