COVID-19: Networks, Studios, and Fans Are Trying To Make The Best Of It

It’s week two in the countrywide shut-down as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak, and everyone that touches the animation business is doing their part to make the best of it. Producers from Bob’s Burgers, Squidbillies, and more are doing their best to get as much production done as possible, but so are networks, and fans.

Deadline just released a report that pretty much piggybacks off of our previous one that talks about the various animation studios using remote methods to get the job done. Series from Bento Box (Hoops, Bob’s Burgers, Duncanville, Central Park), Titmouse (Bless the Harts, Big Mouth), Starburns Industries (Rick and Morty),and 20th Century FOX (Family Guy, The Simpsons, Solar Opposites) all seem to be pretty much on-track according to report though threats of bi-weekly premieres also have been noted. We can also tell you that Squidbillies seems to be doing just fine as like the other series Zoom is being utilized to help complete productions as is Final Space.

Comedy Central is trying to make light of the situation by launching a “Animation Contamination” bug along with their re-runs of syndicated animated programming like The Cleveland Show while the Los Angeles Times just ran a story on how a mother is using sage advice from “Marge Simpson” to help manage her family from going crazy.

Me? I’ve been bingeing the fuck out of Family Guy and Rick and Morty lately.
