Comics Review: Rick and Morty #28 “Interdimensional Cable III”
Does this month’s issue act as a solid pregame for this weekend?

This month’s issue of Rick and Morty comics coincides with the show’s season three premiere happening this Sunday Night on Adult Swim, but I’m not sure Interdimensional Cable is going to help stave off your fervor.
Unfortunately, the “Interdimensional Cable III” bit falls flat and really doesn’t offer the same magic or gaggery as its small screen brethren. Instead, a few glimpses of rehash, throw in some shitty punchlines, and that’s what you got here. The ending was actually pretty good, but that’s about it.
Fortunately, the second strip entitled “Rick and Jerry in Hurrickane” is a heck of a lot better, and pretty much saves the issue from being toilet paper. The premise revolves around aliens holding Jerry hostage until he fesses up where Rick is, and an argument over the best Denzel movie ensues. The art direction for the second strip is quite a bit more polished as well which should charge up the fans of the series for the impending show’s premiere.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
