Comics Review: Regular Show #19
This month’s issue of Regular Show comics continues the arc set-forth last month that saw Rigby make three wishes, 1) big muscles for Mordecai 2) Benson in a constant nightmare 3) the genie is freed. Unfortunately, all of the wishes go haywire and everyone gets screwed. When the opportunity comes for Mordy to head to a beach where the genie is to try and set everything back, she tells him that he has to get someone else to make wishes via a lamp. As a result, someone at the beach wishes for all of the park employees to get lamps to which we fade to black.
”The Roll-Out”
Mordecai and Rigby attempt to TP a tree to death, with the winner having to clean it all up. Then a dude comes by and takes away the tree, and Rigby punts a roll of toilet paper his way that sees him blow up. NO TREE TO CLEAN, but now no one’s got toilet paper.
I fear that I already know what the ending is for the first plot of this comics issue, but who knows? Maybe I’ll be surprised. I just think it’s a bit cliche with a bunch of genie tropes having been done before, so I guess I’m waiting for the Regular Show twist to happen. The toilet paper story was a bit more fun and maybe worth the purchase alone.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
