Comics Review: Regular Show #17
There’s something different about this month’s Regular Show Comics. One of the major things is it seems as though we got a bit of a reboot when it comes to the opening stories which are now not only a tad longer and definitely more action-packed, but seem closer to what we get from the series, and has even updated to include CJ. The initial story aka ‘My Own Private Gumball’ we got pretty hilarious scenario that sees Rigby and Mordy having to work during Spring Break, but later on the guys get side-tracked walking down a path that leads to a cave which housed a bottle that when rubbed produces a genie that promises to grant Rigby three wishes, the first of which is for Benson to have something terrible come his way as a result of all of the times he was mean to the guys.
The second plot featured Rigby trying to run for local present, but after a hard fought campaign that even saw other park employees turn to his immediate competitor, a dark horse enters and wins the race.
Overall, we get one of the strongest issues of Regular Show comics yet. Fans of the show that have been watching this season will be able to jump right in and not worry about having to catch up to any silly plots or whatnot.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
