“That’s Hairable!”

Bart is helping Professor Frink, where he finds a hair tonic. Bart decides to be Bart, and steals the tonic. The next day, he puts some on his hands, and puts it on everyone’s faces. Bart makes sure to get  back to class first, when all of the guys come back with full moustaches. The trick backfires on Bart, though, when all of the girls start falling for their facial quaff. Bart decides to take some of the tonic for himself, and grows a beard worthy of Game of Thrones. It turns out, it was just the guinea pig from Frink’s office. He is ripped badly on his way to  Frink’s lab. It turns out that Bart’s genes counteract the hair tonic. So, the next day, he takes the tonic, and goes Super-Soaker on everyone. The classes hair grows out of control, and Skinner goes right for Bart. Skinner gets Willie to cut everyone’s hair, including Bart, and the class picture is a bunch of bald kids.

“Fangs for Nothing”

Bart is at the dentist for a checkup, when the dentist leaves for an emergency. The dentist leaves, asking Bart to tell the receptionist to cancel all appointments. Bart sees Skinner there, and sends everyone but him home. Skinner is in the chair, and Bart spooks him by saying his teeth need to be capped. Instead, Bart glues vampire fangs into his mouth. Bart gets back to class, just in time to start the rumor of Skinner being a vampire. Skinner shows up, with the fangs in his mouth, and a bib glued to his back. Of course, an angry mob forms, complete with torches and pitchforks. Bart tells Skinner to go out the front door, and Skinner begrudgingly agrees. Bart dumps glue and glitter on him, turning Skinner into a Twilight piece of crap. The women save him, and the angry mob dissipates.

“Thumb Wrasslin'”

This is a real short comic, with Milhouse and Bart thumb wrestling, and it getting the pro wrestling treatment. They end up with broken thumbs, and they go into the nurse to get it fixed.

It seems like this month continues the trend of a bad Simpsons book, followed up by a superb Bart Simpson. The stories were corny, but I laughed really hard, especially at Skinner being forcibly turned into a vampire. I also enjoyed the way the writers wrote out every housewife and pre-teen reaction to seeing a glittery jackass in the wild. It reminds me of some the native Jerseyans. I also laughed at Bart’s line of bad choices in “That’s Hairable,” which leads to him being bald like the rest of the class. I can go for more Bart as long as it keeps the quality like this. Keep it up, I am liking this a lot!
