Comedy Central Orders “The Gorburger Show”
It’s happening!
Scheduled to premiere this Spring, Comedy Central has ordered eight episodes of the late-night talk show The Gorburger Show. Miller will puppet and voice “Gorburger”.
The Gorburger Show features a giant blue extra-terrestrial (voiced by T.J. Miller, “Silicon Valley”) who, after invading a Japanese television variety show and enslaving its staff, broadcasts from Japan and interviews guests in an attempt to understand what it means to be human. “The Gorburger Show” will feature celebrity interviews, musical guests, strange games and other random happenings.
The series had a pilot presentation at HBO back in 2015 however it’s Comedy Central that got the series order. The pilot episode produced for HBO will not air on Comedy Central according to Deadline.com. The show is created by the Director Brothers (Ryan McNeely and Josh Martin) who also write, direct, and executive produce the series. The series is executive-produced by Sean Boyle for Funny Or Die and produced by Caviar and aired for two seasons on Funny or Die.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
