”Chew” gets cast
It’s been a while since we’ve talked about the animated adaptation of Chew first announced last summer to go into production and now it looks like we are starting to see some cast.
Joining the fray are Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) and Felicia Day (Outlands). According to the article Yeun is voicing the detective, Tony Chu. Day is voicing his love interest, a food critic named Amelia Mintz who is a “saboscrivner,” someone who can write about food so precisely the reader actually feels like they are tasting.
For those that don’t know what Chew is, it stars Tony of whom was a long time detective that also happens to be a cibopath…what’s a cibopath you ask? Well, that’s an individual whom gets psychic abilities JUST by eating something. The funny thing about this is, that despite the fact this dude eats some pretty gross shit, he leads a relatively normal life of having a girlfriend and eventually becoming a dad. This just proves that behind every crazy dude out there, there is a crazy bitch standing RIGHT behind him.
Personally, I’ve never watched The Walking Dead so I can’t say anything in regards to his casting, but I thought Felicia Day was awesome on Outlands and I hope there’s more where that came from.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
