BUBBLE UK PRESS RELEASE: Wildseed Studios announce new investment from the commercial arm of Welsh broadcaster S4C
Wildseed Studios has announced an investment from the commercial arm of Welsh broadcaster S4C giving it a significant stake in the company and a seat on the board.
Wildseed Studios is a next generation content and talent incubator that is commissioning content from both new creators and established creators interested in working in new ways to create fresh content for all platforms
Commenting on the investment, S4C’s Head of Commercial Development, David Bryant, said ‘We were really impressed with Miles & Jesse’s vision for Wildseed and the opportunity it offers to invest in a highly commercial proposition. The investment creates another way for talent in Wales to access finance and strategic and creative support for projects that they want to develop.’
The deal also gives S4C the opportunity to co-produce with Wildseed on selected projects and the rights to dub project content into the Welsh language for broadcast on the channel.
‘We were really impressed with S4C’s enthusiasm for our business model and willingness to move quickly to get involved with our Company’ said Miles Bullough, Wildseed’s MD. ‘The investment gives us a great platform from which to launch our content proposition in the New Year on YouTube and elsewhere and to continue to work with the most exciting new and established talent both inside and outside of Wales’.
Wildseed is holding a ‘Meet Wildseed Studios’ event in Cardiff at Porters in Cardiff (www.porterscardiff.com) at 7pm on 22 January to network with the creative community in Wales and to explain the ‘Wildseed Way’ to interested parties. Details of the event can be found here http://wildseedstudios.com/meet-wildseed-in-cardiff/

S4C Commerical is the commerical arm of Welsh language television channel S4C. As a public service broadcaster, S4C commissions independent production companies in Wales to make the majority of its programmes, and BBC Wales produces around ten hours a week of programming for the channel too.
S4C broadcasts over 115 hours of programming for people of all ages every week – from sports, drama and music to factual, entertainment and events. The channel is available through all of the main television platforms, and is also widely available on digital platforms.
Wildseed Studios is looking for ideas in four genres: Genre Fiction (Sci-Fi/horror/fantasy), Animated Sitcom, Character Comedy and then also comedy for Kids 6-11 in both live action and animation.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
