BUBBLE CAN Review: Night Sweats “Swag”

Night Sweats continues to truck along through their first season. The quest for cash also continues as Chris and Bart decide to sell Night Sweats swag. More episodes of Terrificland, Don’t Feed the Humans, Parenthesis, and introducing Tall, Dark, and Handsy.

This was an alright episode. Far from being the best, but not the worst I’ve seen from the show. Chris and Bart are highly entertaining guys, but I think I’m a little burnt out on the cash earning stories. They all sort of feel the same now and I’d like to see something a little more fresh.

As for the cartoons, none of them were on top of their game this week. Newcomer Tall, Dark, and Handsy was pretty fun to watch, but I’ll have to see more of it to get a better idea of what the cartoon will be all about.

Don’t Feed the Humans is losing momentum for me as well. There is a story threading everything together, but I’ve been sort of losing interest in the episodes so it’s difficult to remember what has happened in previous episodes.

Parenthesis was pretty good this week. Really funny banter between our two main characters about religion and homosexuality. We also get a Crack Duck cameo, which I can appreciate.

Terrificland was also sort of boring this week. Henry the Dragon was a fun character and I loved a little montage they did, but besides that, there wasn’t much to take away from the episode.

Overall, this wasn’t a great outing for Night Sweats. The live action segments are getting a little repetitive and the cartoons were lost on me this week. If you’ve liked what you’ve seen so far from the show and don’t mind a bit of routine, this will be up your ally, for me personally, I’m a little spent.
