Blu-Ray Review: The Simpsons Season 16

Christmas is here, so naturally everyone and their brother is going to be releasing some sort of DVD this month to cash in for stocking stuffers. Unfortunately for all of those peeps, none of them are The Simpsons. What’s been infinitely way cooler the last couple of years is 20th Century FOX modernizing The Simpsons releases to not be those bull shit volumes that most other companies do, but rather release seasons in their entirety. If I were to purchase every episode of Season 16 of The Simpsons on Amazon or iTunes, I’d be out 1.99 each for 21 episodes and looking at over $40 but if you purchase the whole season at once your good for $30. So, is the DVD worth the additional $10 MSRP?

Yes. Typically, The Simpsons home releases are some of the best in the business and this one is no different as we are jam PACKED with extra features. Commentary is provided on EVERY episode by various actors and writers for the series providing insight and usually humorous conversations whilst playback of the episodes. Not only that, but jeez louise, you get a nice mess of deleted scenes and bonus episodes that should be a must see for any fan of The Simpsons, die-hard or not.

No question, The Simpsons 16th Season is a must buy.
