Here’s what we know.
Deadline is reporting that AMC is working on adapting Ken Liu’s sci-fi short stories with Craig Silverstein for a new primetime animated series called Pantheon. The network has reportedly set up a writers room for the series with an animated pilot presentation being produced as well. Silverstein would be the showrunner, creator, producer, and writer for Pantheon.
It has been eons since a network has taken on a serious effort on doing something in animation that isn’t strictly comedy. AMC has a great history of adapting works like Walking Dead for TV series and Pantheon could be a great opportunity for the network to do something fresh in an age where only the streaming services are really taking chances.
