Al Jean tells Toronto Sun that someone on The Simpsons dies Next Season…who is it?
Look at Canada press asking the tough questions, eh? On a recent conference call for the 25th Season of The Simpsons, Al Jean told the Sun that SOMEONE will die on The Simpsons next season on FOX and that it’s someone who has won an Emmy for the role. That really doesn’t help because there have been like twenty-something Emmy wins for the series in its 25 seasons and a bunch of those went to voice actors that voice a bunch of characters each.
I like Edna as my pick because everyone close to Ned Flanders seems to die (see Maude Flanders 21 years ago).
So, not only is someone on The Simpsons dying, but Family Guy is killing someone too but that one is a little easier to call. Lot’s of morbid content coming, right? The Simpsons are all new Sunday Night @ 8pm EST, check your local listings!
UPDATE: The Hollywood Reporter picked this up and got a few more deets. They also listed the Emmy winners
• Anne Hathaway as Penelope (2010)
• Dan Castellaneta as Homer Simpson (2009)
• Kelsey Grammer as Sideshow Bob (2006)
• Castellaneta as various characters including Grampa Simpson, Barney, Krusty, Groundskeeper Willie, Mayor Quimby, Sideshow Mel (2004)
• Hank Azaria as various characters including Chief Wiggum, Moe, Cletus, Apu (2003)
• Azaria as various characters including Comic Book Guy, Moe, Wiggum (2001)
• Azaria as Apu (1998)
• Castellaneta as Homer (1993)
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
