Industry Buzz: Comedy Central and Simulmedia make moves
Here’s why this is important.
FOX executive Laurel Bernard has joined up with Simulmedia. The former marketing executive has helped launch some of the FOX network’s well known franchises such as Family Guy and The Simpsons. She joins Simulmedia as the president of entertainment marketing.
Meanwhile, Comedy Central has made a move as well. Monika Zielinska has been named Senior Vice President, Original Programming and Development, West Coast. Monika has helped develop such animated series as Legends of Chamberlain Heights and TripTank, and is overseeing Jeff and Some Aliens. Legends of Chamberlain Heights is currently in production for a second season, and Jeff and Some Aliens is eyeing a 2017 start.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
