“Scammers” Web Series Premieres on Hulu

Most people are familiar with junk emails promising millions of dollars for doing nothing but providing ‘your bank account information, and the money will be deposited the next day’. Most people ignore these emails knowing it’s a scam, but Barry Marder as Ted L. Nancy wanted to know what would happen if he engaged. After hundreds of exchanges written in his clever, sharp wit full of hilarious non-sequiturs and pushing these scammers to their limit, Barry published these exchanges under the book title LETTERS FROM A NUT.

SCAMMERS is new web series produced by Sundance Productions which bring these correspondences to life. With simple animation and voiceovers it takes us through these hilarious exchanges between Ted L. Nancy and whoever writes him back. Each 3-5 minute episode contains funny, simple stick figure animation, images of emails, voice over, music and sound effects to create an entertaining and irreverent story. Barry Marder voices Ted L. Nancy, the recipient of the emails.
