Could animated adaptations of ‘Valiant Comics’ be in escrow?
The Los Angeles Times recently ran a story about Valiant Comics getting a MAJOR investment from Chinese production company DMG for the purposes of using the publishers’ wide-range of characters in various outlets including television, film, comic books, and even television series.
Now, there’s no telling which properties that DMG wants to use for animated shows, but Valiant has about 1500 characters in its repertoire. My issue is, where the hell does DMG think they would even pitch animation? I don’t think any of their characters would get kids shows, and for the most part animated action shows suck on American television. This leaves the only possible avenues being Youtube, Netflix/Hulu, or home release stuff akin to anime. In any case, I’m all for more action stuff hitting us because we don’t have enough of it.
So, which Valiant Comics characters do YOU wanna see in animated adaptations? Sound off on the comments below and let us know.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
