For some reason, Adult Swim has begun airing episodes of ‘Sit Down, Shut Up’
Wanna know why IGN.com is a joke when it comes to reviewing cartoons? That site has given first episode bad reviews for Rick and Morty, Brickleberry, and a slew of others, but they were ALL over Sit Down, Shut Up. Why? Because they wanted to smell Mitch Hurwitz’s (Arrested Development) balls.
For those that don’t know, Sit Down, Shut Up was one of Mitch’s first projects post the cancellation of Arrested Development on FOX and the show lasted only about six episodes on FOX’s Sunday Night lineup before it was sent to like late night Saturdays on FOX where it was cancelled again and Comedy Central attempted to breathe new life to the series.
All of this is hysterical, because the series actually had a really cool aesthetic, a top-notch cast that included Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, Will Forte, Nick Kroll, and a whole bunch of others playing a group of teachers that clearly don’t care about teaching. The problem was, the dialogue sucked ass.
In any case, I couldn’t help but notice last night on Adult Swim RIGHT before a block of Family Guy came on that the network had re-aired the original pilot for the series which is odd because I have no idea why. The ratings were REALLY bad on FOX, so I’m curious as to what Adult Swim sees in picking up the series.
Sit Down, Shut Up airs Sunday Nights @ 10 pm ET/PT for Adult Swim.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
