Take a Peek at Archer’s Favorite Films on Vunify
Any observant fan of Archer will undoubtedly notice the abundance of references written into the show. Be it from music, movies, television, literature, or history – FX’s animated secret agent series drops pop culture references that are both mainstream and obscure with ease.
Enter Vunify, an online service that lets users list a selection of TV shows or movies as if it were a Netflix queue. The site then checks the various online streaming services (like Hulu, iTunes, YouTube, and yes: Netflix) to create a playlist to watch the viewer’s selection.
Someone with too much time on their hands and an Archer obsession compiled a list of what Sterling would have in his collection, and posted it for the world to enjoy.
Obviously it contains a lot of Burt Reynolds films, like Smokey and the Bandit and Deliverance; as well as a number of James Bond films; and a few other ‘80s classics, most notably Top Gun, because of Sterling’s obsession with taking the highway to the danger zone.
The description reads: “Sterling Archer’s favorite movies according to duh, because they’re obviously all so awesome. Right?” Words that sound like they’re straight out of the mouth of the man himself.
The Vunify list is incomplete, so what do you all think should be included in it?
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
