FOX PR may have dashed Gonzo’s guess on Simpson Death

Gonzo made a rather astute guess as to who will be killed off in the Season 26 premier of The Simpsons, but me thinks this FOX press release may have scratched that guess off.

Gonzo had guessed that Krusty’s dad, Rabbi Krustofski, would be the one to meet the untimely sledge. However, FOX recently issued a press release talking all about the upcoming mural unveiling happening in Oregon and would drop THIS nugget:

In the milestone 26th season opener of THE SIMPSONS, airing Sunday, Sept. 28 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX, the unthinkable happens: a Springfield resident dies. Also, Krusty (Dan Castellaneta) retires after he’s offended by a comedy cable channel roast of him, and Lisa (Yeardley Smith) tries to protect Homer (Castellaneta) from getting hurt.

My theory is that BECAUSE Krusty the Clown is involved with a rather deep sub plot, that whomever is going to die, may not have anything to do with him…or does it? The door is still a crack open on Gonzo’s theory on who is getting the axe, but this new synopsis may have us going in a different direction.

As of now, September 28th seems so fucking far away, not only do we have the big premiere for The Simpsons, but we are also getting the one-hour ”The Simpson Guy” cross over which FOX is promoting the shit out of and as such as me REALLY excited for it when both premiere on September 28th on FOX.
