Review: Brickleberry ‘My Favorite Bear’
Spoilers Below
Flamey the Bear is pretty much Smokey the Bear and Steve is a huge fan and he still watches the tapes all the time. Woody is planning to fly Flamey in for the reopening of Brickleberry with Steve’s job to keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn’t get drunk. Like everything Steve does, he fails miserably and even forks over some fresh booze for the Flamer.
Flamey gets drunk and burns down a strip club. After a death scare, Flamey is able to get out of the hospital feeling inspired to go buy some crack. Later at a bar, Steve gets the shit kicked out of him while Flamey takes off to fuck Ethel. Steve is heartbroken so Flamey apologizes, but he doesn’t mean it. Thankfully, Flamey gets a heart attack and tells him that he fucked his mother in his car.
Woody is training to look his best for the park reopening, but Malloy tells him that his lips look like shit. Woody gets plastic surgery to make his lips look fuller, but now Malloy wants his owner to do something about his eyes. Nose and eyes are next on the docket, but Woody looks ridiculous. Finally, Woody’s head gets shaved. What’s this for? So that Malloy can win 100k in a Bass Masters contest. Who is the bass? A sun-burnt Woody!
With Flamey dead, Steve dons his costume and heads to the opening ceremony with Woody looking like a mutant. Steve gives a speech and the crowd goes wild. Bobby and BoDean end up burning down the forest so Steve heads to the strip club for some crack!
I would have maybe preferred to see a bit more head to head between the two bears of Brickleberry, but Flamey walking into a public bathroom, pissing all over the place, and then setting the place on fire is going to have to do. That and Ethel is officially fucking a different guy like every other week which officially turns her from the voice of reason on Season 1 to a downright whore on Season 2. Woody slowly being turned into a fish by Malloy was rather genius. My one issue with the episode stems from the fact that I have a feeling the censors kind of got to this one in terms of direction of the episode which always gains my ire. I could be wrong, but there was just something fishy about the way the camera panned on a few scenes that got me irked. Nevertheless, we get another bear of an episode of Brickleberry.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
