Spoilers Below

Alright, let’s just recap the things we learned in episode 16 of Red vs. Blue:

  • The Reds and Blues are considered heroes, and some of the galaxy’s greatest soldiers, because they “brought down Project Freelancer.”
  • The Orange & Grey soldier is named Felix.
  • The planet everyone is on, Corus, is on the very edge of colonized space and after the war between the humans and aliens it was pretty much forgotten about by Earth & the UNSC.
  • The people of Corus failed to adequately self-govern themselves, and a civil war broke out between the government and the NewRepublic, a rebel army.
  • Felix is a mercenary fighting for the rebels.
  • Felix’s mission is to bring the Reds and Blues back to the NewRepublic to help them win the war.
  • Locus will return, and the Red & Blue soldiers (plus Felix) need to fortify the canyon to protect themselves against a strike before UNSC reinforcements arrive.

Oh yeah, and apparently almost everyone on the Reds and Blues caused the ship to crash in some way. In this episode we saw Sarge flashing back to himself trying to fiddle with the ship’s engines. Previously we also saw Washington take the blame because he accidentally pulled out a cable, Grif hinting at being responsible because he spilled a soda on the ship’s computer, and Tucker trying to flirt with the ship’s female pilot just before the crash. Hopefully Caboose and Simmons can get in on the gag too.

Other than the aforementioned joke, there weren’t too many laughs. However, the show made up for it with the amount of information it revealed and the ominous foreshadowing at the end.
