Wolverine and Chase Meridian to guest star on upcoming episode of Robot Chicken for Season 7

Later today you get to check out a Blu-Ray review of Robot Chicken Season 6, but why not some Robot Chicken Season 7 news to warm you up? You may remember that we put up a report that the crew of Robot Chicken was going down under to the Sydney Opera House in Australia.

Well, Hollywood.com got a juicy tidbit of news as they are reporting that Hugh Jackman (The Wolverine) and Nicole Kidman (Batman Forever) will be reprising their roles as Drover and Sarah Ashley respectively in a comedic spoof of their 2008 Baz Luhrmann film Australia.

I have never seen the movie Australia, but I think it’s great and I’m dying to know who pitched this idea in the writer’s room and how they did it. I imagine something like:

Pitch man: “Hey guys, you know what movie we DEFINITELY have to spoof??”

Writer 1: “Terminator?” 

Pitch Man: ” No”

Writer 2: “Fast in the Furious?” 

Pitch Man: “No…even better! AUSTRALIA!”

Writers Room Reaction: *CRICKETS*

No word yet as to when Robot Chicken Season 7 begins, but I have heard later this year on Adult Swim.
