Shorts Review: Red vs Blue Season 11 Episode 8
Spoilers Below
Red vs. Blue was off last week, which is quite convenient, considering I totally thought I just blew off writing the article. (Though in reality, I ‘blew off’ the review because I was doing the Dana Snyder interview.)
Anyway, episode 8 began with Caboose attempting to train and play with Freckles as if he was a dog, while Tucker exercised. The Reds, on a bogus information-gathering mission, lamented on the pointlessness and creepiness of their spying on the Blue Team. While Grif and Simmons discussed strategy, Tucker appeared next to them, and asked that they stop awkwardly watching.
The two teams began conversing casually, complaining about their respective leaders, when Simmons realized that Agent Washington’s obsession with rules and cleanliness greatly appeals to him. Opting to stay with the Blues, Simmons quickly becomes a target of Freckles.
This wasn’t one of the funniest episodes of Red vs. Blue, but it had the familiar back-and-forth, show-about-nothing quality of the early seasons. They even slipped in a humorous cutaway as well.
Although there weren’t any new plotlines or characters this week, if Simmons ends up staying with the Blues for a bit it should make for some funny interactions and situations. Also, we should look forward to Sarge’s reaction to hearing that: 1) Simmons has turned traitor, and 2) Sarge is now stuck alone with Grif, whom he thoroughly despises.
Assuming there’s a new episode next week, I will see you there. I’ll bring the beers… I’ll bring the beers…

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
