Animators on Vine…cool?
I suppose it was a matter of time…
I am still trying to warm up to Vine and with viral videos coming every week from Comedy Central I’m almost there, but I guess I wasn’t sure if the application was going to fit animators just yet. Welp, after watching an ‘Animators on Vine’ special over on Channel Frederator you can start to tell that the craze is JUST starting to come around and produce some pretty awesome shit.
My question is WHICH micro-video blogging platform is going to be the preferred choice for animators?? Could it be the 6-second variety that we get with Vine?? Or would animators prefer a tad longer with the 15-second services like Tout and Instagram-Video. Something tells me people are going to enjoy the added challenge that Vine offers and the fact that the program is already the preferred app for videos on Twitter, I think will speak volumes.
With all this said, how long will it be before we see networks like Amazon and Hulu maybe jump in and try to monetize on Vine? Amazon has already showed its willingness to jump into the shorts game so maybe we can start seeing some premium stuff? But, without a decent advertising business model on hand, could it be a bit before Vine goes green?? It will be interesting to watch. Check out the Frederator vid below, and if YOU are an animator, which short form video service do YOU prefer??
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
