English Dub Review: LINK CLICK “Chinatown Investigation”
Overview
Cheng Xiaoshi possesses a young Vein and encounters Xia Fei’s father in Chinatown, uncovering a cruel truth.
Our Take
Picking up from the previous episode, “LINK CLICK” delivers another tense and intriguing chapter filled with shocking revelations, unexpected humor, and plenty of mysteries. Vein’s complicated past takes center stage, while Lu Guang continues putting Cheng Xiaoshi in dangerous situations without explaining everything. Meanwhile, Cheng Weimin’s suspicious behavior raises some unsettling questions about his true intentions, leaving me eager to learn what he’s hiding.
Qiao Ling also gets some memorable moments when she attends Liu Xiao’s dinner invitation, leading to some hilarious antics and an unexpected development involving her abilities. Her interactions with Xia Fei provide some amusing moments, but the growing danger surrounding the group keeps the tension high. With several characters concealing their true motives, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to tell who can actually be trusted.
Overall, this episode strikes a great balance between suspense, comedy, and character development while building anticipation for what comes next. The parallels between Vein and Lu Guang remain fascinating, and the growing mysteries surrounding the characters make the story increasingly compelling. Although I wish Cheng Xiaoshi’s development from previous seasons were handled more consistently, the escalating tension and intriguing cliffhangers make this another engaging chapter that leaves me eager for the next episode.
