Dvizhon Studios Launches with Groundbreaking Sex Education Series The First Time
Award-winning Ukrainian filmmaker and showrunner Yuri Dvizhon has officially launched his London-based production banner, Dvizhon Studios. Marking the studio’s debut is The First Time, a five-part, celebrity-led sex education series that premiered on Eastern European streaming giant MEGOGO.
Developed over three years between London and Kyiv, the ambitious format brings together evidence-based sex education, comedy, puppetry, and candid celebrity discussions.
Produced in collaboration with the Olena Pinchuk Foundation—a non-profit organization with over two decades of experience promoting sexual health education in Ukraine—The First Time tackles traditionally taboo subjects such as intimacy, body image, sexuality, and self-acceptance.
The show features a unique host dynamic set within the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine: A foul-mouthed, inquisitive puppet crafted by UK creature studio Talk to the Hand (Mongrels, Yonderland). Niko is voiced by Anna Lev, best known as the official Ukrainian voice of Bart Simpson. Niko asks the blunt, filter-free questions that human hosts usually shy away from. The Ukrainian social media star acts as the show’s human co-host, guiding candid studio conversations with guests. Featured guests include Oleksandr Teren, a Ukrainian war veteran and double amputee who starred in Season 13 of Ukraine’s The Bachelor. Teren speaks openly in the series about navigating intimacy and body acceptance after suffering life-altering combat injuries.
The series also expands outside the library walls with street interviews, animated segments featuring graphic design by Seoul-based artist Will Lim, and extended podcast companion episodes released across audio platforms.
Watch starting September 7 on the Dialog Hub YouTube channel for the English dubbed adaptation.
