Between FOX’s return to its staple Sunday night “Animation Domination” lineup, Adult Swim delivering its signature late-night chaos, and the major streaming giants dropping high-concept original series and long-awaited returning favorites, Fall 2026 is shaping up to offer something for every brand of animation fan.

American Dad! centers on super patriotic CIA agent Stan Smith (voiced by MacFarlane) and the misadventures of his unconventional family in Langley Falls, VA. Stan applies the same drastic measures used in his job at the CIA to his home life, where Stan’s blissfully unaware wife, Francine (Wendy Schaal), has an unfaltering loyalty that makes her blind to his unabashed arrogance. His left-wing activist daughter Hayley (Rachael MacFarlane), however, doesn’t let him off so easily and knows just how to push her father’s buttons, unlike her dopey, well-intentioned husband Jeff (Jeff Fischer) who doesn’t know much of anything. Son Steve (Scott Grimes) is a geeky-yet-confident kid who spends his time playing video games and obsessing about the opposite sex. The Smith cabinet is rounded out by two rather unconventional members: Roger (MacFarlane), a sassy, sarcastic and routinely inappropriate space alien, and Klaus (Dee Bradley Baker), an attention-starved goldfish with the brain of a German Olympic skier.
The animated comedy from 20th Television Animation was created by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker and Matt Weitzman, and is executive-produced by co-showrunner Brian Boyle, along with MacFarlane and Weitzman.

The hit animated franchise, which will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2027, debuted on Comedy Central on Aug. 13, 1997. Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny were first seen in the animated short “The Spirit of Christmas,” and from there were launched into television history. The show continues to be celebrated three decades after its debut, winning the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program five times and receiving 20 nominations. SOUTH PARK was included in the 2026 Television Academy Honors as their first-ever animated honoree, as the Producers Guild Awards’ (PGA) first animated show to be included in Best Episodic comedy, and has also received awards and accolades from the American Film Institute (AFI), the Peabody Awards and the Critics Choice Association. In addition, SOUTH PARK was the #1 show on cable in 2025 among P18-49, including the return of season 27 delivering the best average P18-49 share in 27 years and the most-watched season in six years. In The Simpsons Season 36 premiere, Bart celebrates the most shocking birthday party of his entire life — one that might just change everyone in Springfield forever. In the bonus fright-fest, “Treehouse of Horror Presents: Simpsons Wicked This Way Comes,”a tattooed man at a mysterious night circus transports Lisa into three strange stories from the innocent 1950s, the chilling retro-present, and a brutalist future where prestige TV rules the world.
The Simpsons Season 36 is exploding with amazing stories! Grampa reveals his secret past as a 1980s-era private detective, The Simpsons encounter death on vacation at a high-end resort in “Yellow Lotus,” and Lisa has a blazing misadventure in the dark world of Capital City’s downtown art scene. Guest stars announced so far for this season include Conan O’Brien, John Cena, Joel McHale, Danny DeVito, and Tom Hanks.

Universal Basic Guys (Season 3 Premiere)

Universal Basic Guys, co-created and executive produced by brothers Adam Malamut and Craig Malamut, centers on two brothers, Mark and Hank Hoagies, who lose their jobs to automation and are given $3,000 a month in a new basic income program. Now, they’re using their free time and free money to find purpose in a world where they’re no longer needed. The series stars Adam Malamut (Game of Zones) as both Mark and Hank Hoagies, Talia Genevieve as Tammy Hoagies, Ally Maki (Hacks) as Andrea, and Fred Armisen (SNL, Portlandia) as David.
Universal Basic Guys is co-produced by FOX Entertainment through its Emmy Award-winning animation studio Bento Box Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television. Dan Lagana (American Vandal) is executive producer and showrunner for Season One. Rob Rosell (Dave, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) will serve as showrunner for Season Two.
Grimsburg (Season 3 Premiere)
