English Dub Review: Oshi no Ko “Correctness”

Overview:

Things go horribly wrong at the Comiket shoot. Can Dig Deep come back from this?

Our Take(Spoilers):

What I love most about this show is that you almost forget about the main plot at points. Why would I love that? It’s because seeing the inner workings of all these different things you enjoy can be just as interesting. There are times I have to remind myself that this is a show about two people who reincarnated as the twin children of their favorite idol and are trying to get revenge for her death.

Ruby managed to get enough people to do the Comiket shoot even though they had to change costumes at the last minute. One of the cosplayers who showed up is named Meiya, and she does more adult-type photoshoots. When she’s interviewed for the segment, her questions are given more sexually.

Between the last-minute costume change and the sexual harassment, she decides to take to social media and call out the program. This led to her getting brought on to the show and the director issuing an apology directly to her while dressed in cosplay. I wanted to hate the guy, but the way he apologized did seem sincere. He made the costume himself so that he could experience what she had to do.

Aqua wonders how much of this whole situation was orchestrated by Ruby. She doesn’t seem to have any idea what he’s talking about. Has the student become the master? Can you imagine what would happen if these two teamed up instead of not telling each other anything?
