English Dub Review: Trigun Stargaze “Wandering Days”

Overview:

Two years have passed since the events at JuLai. Vash is still missing. Someone is stealing Plants again.

Our Take:

This is the problem with a show having such a long time between seasons. I could barely remember what happened, and to be fair, this show was fairly confusing to begin with. I remember the character Meryl, but her new friend, Milly, I don’t remember at all. Apparently, she was mentioned at the end of the last episode of the season, but for what it’s worth, I love the character so far.

Milly is one of those wildly optimistic characters voiced by Alexis Tipton, and I think she’ll do a great job. We are shown a character who seems to be nonverbal and in a coma of sorts, being taken care of by a weird giant man. We are led to believe this is Vash, but once again, I don’t recall who the guy taking care of him is, and it’s left me a little worried. But the animation is still fantastic, and I enjoy the world that’s been set up. With it being two years after the end of last season, some confusion is to be expected, but I hope some of it clears up.
