English Dub Review: Call of the Night “6th Night: I’m not asking about the quality.”

Overview:

With Anko closing in, the vampires must destroy the source of their weakness before she can find them. Midori’s search leads Ko and Nazuna to someone… unexpected.

Our Take:

While it’s nice to know that Nazuna doesn’t have the same weaknesses as other vampires, others do. Ko has come to care for some of the other vampires as well and doesn’t want to see anything happen to them. We got Kabura’s backstory, and now we have a little bit of Midori’s. I’d say that Midori’s has been a bit disappointing so far, at least. Not because it’s bad or anything, but it’s not so much about her as about someone that she turned.

We’re introduced to LoveGreen, or LG for short, and he’s an otaku who hardly leaves his home. Midori and he met for a video game offline meet-up, and he, of course, fell in love with her and became a vampire. They came to him because he would be the most likely to know of anyone’s weaknesses, Midori might still have from her past life. They got rid of what they could find, but they also found out that LG wrote a doujinshi about Midori. Since it could be LG’s weakness, they got rid of it, and now they seem safe. I like the dynamic between Midori and LG, and I hope we get to see a bit more of them.
